We weren't designed to do life alone. The relationships we have with others can transform our lives. Kingdom-life groups will bring new levels of purpose, significance and impact to the lives of many in our church and community. Get ready for a new level of growth as we intentionally learn to live kingdom-life in practical ways. The next session of KLG will begin the week of September 17, 2017.

What is a kingdom-life group?
Kingdom-life groups are made up of 8-16 people who meet weekly for an evening of planned sharing, study, prayer, and in some groups, worship and service. They last about 90 minutes, and end with light refreshments. A trained leader and host team leads each group.
Where & when do they meet?
We have several kingdom-life groups meeting throughout the area. Each group picks its own time and day of the week.
What will we study?
We write our own curriculum, based on the previous Sunday's sermon. You’ll find the take-home work on the back of the sermon note sheet each week. We call this a "Lecture/Lab" model. Each weekend you'll hear a carefully crafted sermon on some aspect of kingdom-life. Then, in your kingdom-life group, you'll have the chance to dig a little deeper - and to discuss how to apply the Bible's teaching to your everyday life. Links to the sermon audios and outlines will be available on media page of our website.
Of course, the study is only one part of a kingdom-life group. Time is also set aside for sharing and ministry through prayer (and in some groups, worship). Also, each group gets together at least once a quarter for a social event to build stronger relationships and some may choose to do service projects together.Kingdom-life groups are also where we learn how to take care of one another in practical ways - especially during times of sickness, disaster, crisis and special needs. This might involve any number of things, from offering financial support, to providing meals after surgery, to helping someone with their daughter's wedding!
What does it cost?
Few things in life are free, and kingdom-life groups are no exception! The cost of being in a kingdom-life group is the cost of commitment. During the first meeting, each group will review a group covenant. This simple form helps each group to discuss and identify their goals and the commitments necessary for success. Part of that commitment is making weekly attendance a top priority, along with completing the weekly take-home (which requires approximately 20-40 minutes).
Obviously, there are times when you’ll have to miss due to vacation, illness, work, or other special events. But, in general, when you join a kingdom-life group, you're committing to attend and be prepared each week. It's this commitment that will make our kingdom-life groups work.
We realize it's a big commitment, but it only lasts for 6-10 weeks. And we've designed it this way to make it realistic and practical. At the end of each session, you have the choice of recommitting for another 6-10 weeks, trying a new group, or taking a break from groups for the time being.
How do I sign up?
Starting Sunday, September 3, you can sign up in the atrium after worship. Then, in a week or so, your host will contact you with more information about the first meeting.
If you're new to our church and need some extra help finding the right group, please contact Natalie Yungner in the office.
