Prayer
We strongly believe that ongoing prayer releases God's power to actualize the vision He has for SCC across all ministry areas. As part of that
vision, we believe that we are called to be a house of prayer, and from that constant prayer, God will work great things! If you feel called to pray for SCC or one of our ministries with a team of prayer warriors, we have a place for you!
sunday morning prayer coverage
Join our House of Prayer in Room 116 as we pray for the Holy Spirit to bless each Sunday service. We pray for the church service, Sunday school classes as they are in progress, and various ministries. Also, if someone needs prayer during the service times, the prayer team will pray with them immediately.
sunday after-service prayer
Members of our prayer team are available in the sanctuary after each service to pray with those needing prayer. People may also pray individually after the service as desired at other designated prayer stations such as the communion table over on the north side of the sanctuary or in Room 116. Room 116 is also available at other times during the week for individual prayer or for prayer appointments with our prayer team.
healing prayer service teams
Our monthly healing prayer services provide an atmosphere of worship, scripture, prayer and teaching for those with physical, emotional or spiritual illness. Healing Prayer Teams receive training and encouragement to pray for themselves and others at these services, as well as setting scheduling for special prayer appointments during the week. The monthly healing prayer services are announced in the church bulletin.
prayer walking
You are invited to pray and walk around the church and parking lot. Weather permitting, prayer walk the church parking lot each Sunday, praying or those attending church and dedicating our church property to the glory of God. You may join others by walking and praying at different churches, or you may experience the blessing of walking neighborhoods alone with God.
monday night prayer hour
This evening is a time of coming together as a praying church to pray for SCC’s church family and to effect prayer for any healing prayer requests we receive. Each Monday of the month at 6:30 PM, members of our prayer team gather in Room 116 where we seek The Lord for His agenda that evening and proceed accordingly. If anyone comes with a specific prayer request, we will pray for it at that time, unless the circumstance requires a special prayer appointment, which we will schedule at that time if possible.
p.i.t. crew (prayer intercessory team)
Each ministry has a group of praying members who gather to pray for their own ministry and its leaders. Be part of a prayer team who prays for one of our pastors or ministry team leaders. Your group will gather and enable you to pray regularly together with your team to support your ministry leader or our pastors.

Prayer requests we receive are processed weekly by the SCC Administrative Staff and forwarded to the Prayer Ministry team members on both email and hard copy. Should you like to participate and be a part of this team, forward your request to the Prayer Ministry Team.
