Purpose and Guiding Principles
Men are vital to the church and to the community. Therefore, ministering to men takes an important place in the life of the church.
The scope of Men’s ministry at SCC includes creating community among men, supporting men in their walk with Christ and discipling men in the ways of Christ. We are a committed to open, authentic communications and building teams to carry out ministry.
We also support the mission of Springs Community Church by implementing a ministry to men that is consistent, has a rhythm of continuity, builds fellowship and trust among men, and is responsive to the needs of men.
Core Event - Men’s Ministry plans and arranges events for all men regardless of their affiliation with Springs Community Church. Our general meeting to which all men of the church are invited is held on the second Saturday of every other month. These ninety-minute meetings usually include a fellowship time, discussions, and planning for activities. Join us.
Building Brothers Breakfast - Join the men and friends of the church for breakfast on the last Saturday of each month (starting in October). We have no program or agenda; just come and get to know men for the purpose of building relationships with Godly men. Call the church office for details.
Specialized Events - The leadership team wants to equip and empower men to participate in special events that are responsive to the needs or interests of men. Sports teams, card nights, movie nights, fishing trips, biking, hiking, etc. are examples of specialized events that will be planned.
The Kitchen Pass- This month's Kitchen Pass outing will be bowling! This will be happening Saturday, February 20th at 6pm and should be a great time. Feel free to bring a friend! Contact Corey at 510-4113 or corey@weberstreet.net for more information.
Air Force Basketball- Men's Ministry is hosting an outing to an Air Force Basketball game. We have been blessed with 12 free passes so please let us know if you are interested. Support Groups - As interest develops and leaders are identified, groups will be formed or supported that address men’s addictions and challenges.
Teaching / Discipleship
At the heart of a Kingdom church is making disciples. A variety of methods to disciple men with varying degrees of intensity will be offered to men of the church. From periodic classes to weekly accountability groups, men are provided opportunities as they are ready to grow and develop their walk with Christ.
